Oki Data Americas, Inc., a leading manufacturer of color and monochrome printers, serial impact dot matrix printers, multifunction products and facsimiles, today announced that SGS International Certification Services, Inc., has certified the company to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. SGS International Certification Services is a registrar to the standards developed by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a global organization of national standards bodies from 147 countries. SGS International Certification Services granted ISO 9001:2000 certification to Oki Data for successfully providing its customers with products and services that met or exceeded their expectations.
The ISO 9001:2000 certification is the most recent of the ISO 9000 series standards, which are focused primarily on examining the quality management processes used by organizations to fulfill product quality requirements and customer service.
In order to achieve the new certification, thorough interviews were conducted with key Oki Data management for a comprehensive review of the company’s overall Quality Management System. Oki Data was previously certified to the ISO 9001:1994 standard.
